After a wave of airline strikes across the EU, we set out from Dulles for the freezing and damp Frankfort. The flight was seven hours. Though some crying babies made the voyage, we travelers attempted sleep in between the Oscar nod movie marathon. Among favorites were Birdman and Gone Girl. Our double decker plane landed 2:13 am EST, and we are sitting in a circle at gate A40 discussing comic books vs. graphic novels from behind our glazed eyes.
