Classical Italy Day 3

Today we went to several sites, including lake Avernus, Ancient Baiae (modern day Baia), Cape Misenum, Villa Vergiliana, Cuma, and Solfatara. It is hard for me to pick a favorite site because they were all so spectacular. There is so much history, and it is amazing to know that we were standing in the very places that so many historical figures have stood in. Solfatara was an interesting site, but if I had to pick a favorite site it would be Ancient Baiae. There was so much adventure. There seemed to be a new passageway at every corner. From the cats that were following us, to the breathtaking views, and to even the sulfurous fumes, we made a lot of memories that will last a lifetime.
