Notes from Croatia: Tour of Ancient Split and Trogir

Hi, all! This morning we enjoyed a formal tour of Diocletian's Palace and a serenade by a local a cappella group singing "klapa," a Dalmatian coast style of traditional music. Then, we visited the medieval city of Trogir and plopped down on the many-centuries-old promenade and played Catch Phrase. Crazy! We followed that up with succulent gelato at Trogir's premiere gelato shop. Yum!

Upon our return to Split, some of us headed off for a Croatian league "football" match while others took in more of the local flavors for dinner and later night sweets. A full day for all!

Tomorrow, medieval Sibenik and the national park of Krka with its famous waterfalls and a 15th c. monastery on a tiny island in the middle of a big lake, including a picnic in the park. Cool!

Until next time,
YHN,
Doc S.
