Arrival in Spain

We had a smooth flight to Spain, arriving groggily about 730 a.m. on Friday morning, March 20. To our surprise, Spain was cold and gray, much like the weather we had left behind, but already some trees and flowers are in bloom. We cleared passport control without a hitch and were met by a rep from Prometours, who bused us to our partner school in Grinon. Outside the school were all our Spanish friends, awaiting our arrival with huge handmade signs to welcome us. We had a joyful reunion on the steps of the school. The plan was for us to join our host families for the weekend, with possibly an ice-skating excursion planned. More about the weekend when we reconvene on Monday! Photos to follow!
