Today we enjoyed the temple of Zeus, the Olympic stadium
made of all marble, and the national museum of Athens, with a bus tour of the
city in between. Students then took
advantage of free time to shop, eat, and explore in groups. Some elected to watch the changing of the
guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier.
Others sought much needed and earned rest at local cafés. A few of us went to the National Garden next
to the hotel. We look forward to the new
acropolis museum tomorrow and our trip to Delphi.
