Saints in Nicaragua: Exploring Granada

Today was our first full day in Nicaragua and we began by exchanging money at the bank (where there was air conditioning)! We then sat down to discuss the service project we will be doing over the course of the week. After that, we went on a city tour of Granada with a local woman. We got to walk the streets of the city and see the cathedrals and markets. We then separated into our groups to spend the afternoon and eat dinner with our host families. The weather here in Nicaragua is scorching, it is quite humid and we will certainly not be receiving snow tomorrow unlike Alexandria! We look forward to learning how to make Adobe bricks tomorrow!
